FanFiction is a wonderful website where you can read short stories written by ordinary people. These short stories could be a continuation of what that person thinks will happen in a published series, use the characters out of published books, or they could be completely original ideas and characters that a person has come up with.

But be warned, you may get really into a story and then the person doesn't update any new chapters for weeks or months at a time and you will find yourself very frustrated, trying to think of what will happen next.
