First Lines: Most sixteen-year-olds I know would dream of living in a foreign city. But moving from Brooklyn to Paris after my parents' death was anything but a dream come true. It was more like a nightmare.
My Thoughts: As I read the first couple of chapters, I was thinking just how much like Twilight this book was. The story line is somewhat the same, but the grammar and sentence structures in the book are mostly all correct, unlike the Twilight novels.
One thing that I loved about this book was that each character had a unique personality that made the story even more interesting. People can relate to at least one of these characters because they all have different traits. Amy Plum did a great job writing Kate and making her the main character, because she is quiet and doesn't like crowds and parties. Most people (especially teenagers) can relate to this, as people push them away, friendships die and when they don't seem to fit in.
The love story between Vincent and Kate seems a bit unrealistic, but I liked it. It is not completely cheesy, but Die for Me is still an excellent romance novel. The humour in this book also made this a great story.
Some parts of the story line in this book are quite original and some of the twists are unique. Whilst the ending is a bit predictable, it leaves just enough room for a sequel that will hopefully be an equally good book as Die for Me.

Ahhhhhh! I love this book! All m friends at school think I'm weird cause I think the name Vincent is hot, but, I mean, after reading this book how could you not think Vincent is a hot name.
