Heist Society by Ally Carter

Title: Heist Society
Author: Ally Carter
Pages: 287
Publication Date: Feb. 9th, 2010

Back Cover: Are you in or out? Kat Bishop wants to leave the family business. But that's not easy if your family are a gang of exclusive, world-class thieves...

When a mobster accuses Kat's dad of stealing his priceless art collection, Kat knows there's only one thing to do- she has to find he paintings and steal them back. But with only two weeks, a teenage crew, a plan that will take her across Europe, and her dad's life on the line, can she pull off the biggest heist in history?

First Lines: No one knew for certain when the trouble started at the Colgan school. Some members of its alumni association blamed the decision to admit girls.

My Thoughts: Heist society is a book full of twists and turns, and is a quick and easy read. With the suspense of not knowing what happens next, you are unable to put the book down, because you want to know what happens.

A bunch of teenagers who trust each other doesn't sound like they would be able to steal from a big place. But what if there is someone that they cannot trust? What if there is a new person who is trying to join the crew, only to destroy it?

Ally Carter has created a dramatic adventure spanning across many countries. With emotions boiling, all Kat wants to do is leave, but people keep on accusing her of doing just that for her whole life. Will Kat choose to stay, or will she go back to the life she has always wanted; to go to boarding school and be a normal teenage girl?

With an action-packed plot and realistic characters, this is book is quite a good read. If you're looking for something quick and easy, then I highly recommend this book if you are into YA stories.
