The second thrilling instalment in Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy spinoff series.
Tough, brainy alchemist Sydney Sage and doe-eyed Moroi princess Jill Dragomir are in hiding at a human boarding school in the sunny, glamorous world of Palm Springs, California. The students—children of the wealthy and powerful—carry on with their lives in blissful ignorance, while Sydney, Jill, Eddie and Adrian must do everything in their power to keep their secret safe. But with forbidden romances, unexpected spirit bonds, and the threat of Strigoi moving ever closer, hiding the truth is harder than anyone thought.
Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, Richelle Mead’s breathtaking Bloodlines series explores all the friendship, romance, battles and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive. In this second book, the drama is hotter, the romances are steamier, and the stakes are even higher.

Why I Can't Wait?
I just finished reading Bloodlines by Richelle Mead. It was an enjoyable book but I was a bit disappointed. Sydney was so blind for most of it and appeared really weak as a main character because she was so frustrating. But then the cliffhanger at the end was like, ohmigosh this will be intense. Adrian in Bloodlines was really good and a fun character. I liked the fact that he and Eddie were in the book so much. Okay, I hope that was spoiler free. I'm sorry if it wasn't, but I am so keen to read The Golden Lilly and see what becomes of the characters and what they encounter!

ReplyDeleteHave a very Merry Christmas!
Sad to read you felt that way about Sydney. I'm glad your open to The Golden Lily because I think you will see Sydney open up more and became a more fun main character. I believe that Adrian will be a great help in that area.
ReplyDeleteI also think her problem is that she has been dealt with so many important obligations and pressures since a young age that it makes her a bit of a perfectionist, without her realizing it and also makes her more serious and more isolated from the experience of just being young.
I loved Bloodlines and already ship Adrian & Sydney, haha!
