City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare

Title: City of Fallen Angels
Author: Cassandra Clare
Pages: 424
Publication Date: Apr. 5, 2011

Back Cover:   Clary is back in New York and life is good: she's training to be a Shadowhunter and is finally able to call Jace her boyfriend. But nothing comes without a price. When Jace inexplicably begins to pull away from her, Clary is forced to acknowledge that she herself has set in motion a chain of events that could lead to the loss of everything she loves. Even Jace.

Love. Blood. Betrayal. Revenge. The stakes are higher than ever.

First Lines: "Just coffee, please."
The waitress raised her penciled eyebrows. "You don't want anything to eat?" she asked.

My Thoughts: There are multiple words that could be used to sum up this book. Some of them being thrilling, dark, mysterious and suspenseful. With the plot that keeps you guessing, this book is dramatic and deep.

With friendships forming or breaking apart, each character has different problems that they have to face. Whether they are emotional, or just someone trying to kill them daily, they have to face their fears and learn that they can trust each other.

The stunning plot and twists adds the perfect amount of tension to this book. The cliffhanger at the end is such a dramatic close to the book, that you just can't wait to see what happens next. This is a book that I definitely recommend for you to read.

Rating:  4/5
